Privacy Policy

My Quest Board is a turn-based adventure game for phone and PC, currently in development. This page explains what the game stores about you, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted. If anything here is unclear, email adamayers@myquestboard.com.
What we store
- Your account: your email address. If you sign up with a password, it is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form; we can't read it. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture link with us.
- Your game: your characters (name, class, level, experience, playstyles), their gold and items and the history of how they were earned or spent, quests you post or accept, marketplace listings and sales, your friends list and friend requests, your saved party, and your dungeon runs and battles.
- Technical records: like most online services, our hosting provider keeps short-lived logs of requests to our servers, which include IP addresses. The app keeps your sign-in on your device so you stay signed in.
What we don't collect
- No location. The game never reads your device's location. Travel in the game happens on an in-game map only.
- No contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
- No advertising, ad tracking, or selling of your information.
What other players can see
Other players can see your character names, and, where the game shows them, your characters' class, level and playstyle: for example on quests you post, on your marketplace listings, and to your friends. They can't see your email address or anything about your account.
Why we use it
Only to run the game: to sign you in, save your progress, make the shared parts of the game work (quests, the marketplace, friends and parties), keep the game fair and secure, and answer you if you contact us.
Who handles it for us
- Supabase hosts the game's database, sign-in and file storage, on servers in the United States.
- Google handles sign-in if you choose "Continue with Google".
- GitHub hosts this website.
They process information only to provide those services to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and game data while your account exists. When an account is deleted, its characters and their game history are deleted with it. Hosting logs are kept only for the short period our provider keeps them.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself in the game: on the home screen, tap Delete account. It's deleted straight away, along with your characters and game history. You can also email adamayers@myquestboard.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.
Two things stay, without anything that identifies you: records of past marketplace sales (they set market prices), and a quest you posted that another player is already working on, so they can still finish it and be paid.
Children
My Quest Board is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Information travels between the app and our servers encrypted. Each player can only read their own private data, and every game action is checked on our servers.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and its date. If a change is significant, we'll also tell players in the game.
